A shooting occurred during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade near Union Station, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries on February 14.

Among the injured were eight children, with three individuals left in critical condition.

The chaotic scene unfolded as attendees, including families with children, scrambled for safety amidst the sound of gunfire. Law enforcement officials, numbering over 800 from various agencies, responded swiftly to the incident, detaining two suspects.

The motive was deemed criminal, not terrorism-related.
