Chris Coons, a Senator from the US state of Delaware, has shared an image with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz that has taken the internet by storm. The two look so similar, with the German Chancellor calling Coons his “doppelganger”.

Coons captioned the picture shared on X as “Wer ist wer?”, which is German for “who is who”.

Scholz also posted an image with the Senator on X, with the caption, “Great to see my doppelganger again.”

While Coons’s post received more than 907K likes, the German Chancellor’s got over 2.3 million.

Many social media users commented on the similarities of Coons and Scholz.

While one user said, “Oh, no. There are two of them”, another asked, “Brothers?”.

According to reports, the selfie was taken by Coons following a meeting with Scholz on Thursday in Washington DC.
