The New York City Police said that a man was killed, and five other people were injured after a gunman opened fire on a subway train and station platform in the Bronx borough on Monday. According to officials, the gunfire erupted on the train as two groups of teenagers were fighting.

Someone from one of the groups then pulled out a gun, New York Police Department (NYPD) officials said during a press conference outside the station where the violence took place.
