Republican John Rose’s speech on the House floor will likely be remembered for reasons unrelated to his words.

During a routine legislative session, attention was diverted by Rose’s young son, who became the unexpected star. While the House discussed mundane matters like naming post offices, the boy captured viewers’ attention on C-SPAN.

First, he grinned directly at the cameras, then seemed to lose interest and drift off momentarily. His antics soon resumed with a playful tongue-out, followed by eye-rolling and head-shaking, clearly unimpressed by the formal proceedings of the House of Representatives.
