The couple, Bommidi Anusha and Kommareddy Susheel, are software engineers.

The family was returning from Cranial Facial therapy for their 11-year-old son, Advaith, when they met with the accident.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the car carrying the family of four was trying to overtake another vehicle, lost control, and veered off the roadway on Friday night.

The toddler was airlifted to a hospital in Tallahassee, Florida, with critical injuries, but he succumbed to injuries on Tuesday.

The other three family members who were severely injured in the car accident were urgently taken to a hospital in Dothan.

According to the Gofundme donation campaign, Susheel and Advaith are reported to have severe head injuries, while Anusha, mother, has suffered multiple fractures to her left leg and face.
