Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu has appealed to China to “intensify” efforts to send more tourists to the island nation. Muizzu, who came to power through his ‘India Out’ campaign, is currently on a visit to China which comes at a time when the Maldives is facing tourism backlash from Indians over remarks made by some of his ministers against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
