The US Department of State administers the Diversity Visa programme, widely known as the Green Card lottery, providing an opportunity for individuals from countries with low US immigration rates to secure green cards for permanent residency status in the US.

Up to 55,000 immigrants can enter the United States each year from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States.

Results for the Diversity Visa 2025 (DV-2025) programme will be accessible online starting Saturday, May 4, at 12 pm EDT.

Prospective applicants for the DV-2025 programme can submit their confirmation details on the official website from May 4, 2024, at noon (EDT).

Applicants must retain their confirmation number until September 30, 2025, for future reference.

The Diversity Visa programme accepted entries between October 4, 2023, and November 7, 2023.
