A 33-year-old man, identified as Jean Olivier, was arrested after he threw patio furniture off a Manhattan skyscraper and nearly fell over the edge in a dramatic incident.

The incident occurred following an altercation at the Consulate General of Haiti, where Olivier had been reportedly complaining about housing issues.

The chaotic scene unfolded when Olivier, visibly agitated, exited the Consulate General of Haiti and proceeded to a terrace outside. Eyewitnesses captured footage of him hurling a chair, planks of wood, and even what appeared to be concrete off the 20-story building.

The dangerous act drew immediate attention, with concerned bystanders fearing for Olivier’s safety as he leaned dangerously close to the edge of the skyscraper.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the falling debris, although the incident sparked a significant response from the New York Police Department (NYPD). Officers quickly arrived at the scene and apprehended Olivier, who resisted arrest before being subdued and taken into custody.
