The official social media account of The Prince and Princess of Wales has put out a post, a personal statement from Kate Middleton, sharing an emotional update on her health as she battles cancer.

Months after retreating from the public eye following her cancer diagnosis, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton hopes to attend a few public engagements over the summer.

A new portrait of Kate was shared alongside the personal message.

In March, Kate Middleton, in a video message, announced she was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer, after weeks of speculation and conspiracy theories about her whereabouts.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Kate said she is making good progress but is “not out of the woods”. She detailed her “good days” and “bad days” during the treatment process.

“I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times,” Kate wrote.

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired, and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well,” she added.

“My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home,” Kate Middleton wrote.

Further, Kate confirmed that she would take part in Saturday’s Trooping the Colour parade, her first public appearance since last December when she joined other senior royals for an annual Christmas Day church service.

“I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing, I am not out of the woods yet,” Kate wrote.

“I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal. Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me,” Kate concluded.

Kate Middleton’s cancer announcement came after weeks of intense speculation and conspiracy theories due to her long absence from public life. Ever since the announcement, there has been massive support for her from around the world, with hashtags such as ‘WeLoveYouCatherine’ and ‘GetWellSoonCatherine’ trending on X.

Many political leaders, celebrities and cancer survivors also sent messages of support to the Princess of Wales.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and US President Joe Biden were among the global leaders who showed support to Kate Middleton.
