From a documentary upholding India’s classic storytellers to an adrenaline-pumping new season of a loved series – Farhan Akhtar’s production house, Excel Entertainment, didn’t disappoint its viewers with its 2024 offerings.

Madgaon Express
Marking the directorial debut of Kunal Kemmu, Madgaon Express brought a lot of laughs for the audience. The film stars Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary in lead roles. The film emerged as a hit at the box office.
Angry Young Men
Directed by Namrata Rao, the story of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, the legendary screenwriters of 70’s Hindi cinema is one of the best watched documentaries of this year. Together, they co-wrote 24 films in 11 years, 20 of which were blockbusters. They created the “Angry Young Man” trope, the brooding anti-hero who captured the imagination of an entire nation. Striking the right note of nostalgia, the series allowed audiences to relive the golden era of the 70s.
Mirzapur 3
With a standalone film on the cards, the third season of the Mirzapur series saw a lot of appreciation. Bringing back the nostalgia, the show returned with triple the thrill, revenge, and rage in this explosive season.
Agni
With Agni, the production house brought to life a first-of-its-kind story about real superheroes – firefighters who save lives. This unique and inspiring narrative made waves and carved out a special place in the hearts of the audience. Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu, Jitendra Joshi worked in the film.
Excel Entertainment is co-owned by Farhan Akhtar and his friend Ritesh Sidhwani. In the past, the production house has backed films like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Don 2, Talaash, Dil Dhadakne Do.
