Trump’s win could usher in golden era for India-US relations: Anshuman Mishra

In what’s considered a historic US election, Donald Trump swept the polls earlier this week, raising hopes for a strengthened India-US relationship. The win recalls Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally cry, “Abki baar, Trump sarkar,” before 50,000 Indian-Americans in Houston ahead of the 2020 election.

In an exclusive interview with India Today, international banker and political strategist Anshuman Mishra emphasised the potential for a “golden era” of India-US ties under Trump’s presidency. Mishra, who was at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate on election day, shared that Trump expressed “tremendous respect” for India and PM Modi, a sentiment central to his campaign messaging.
