Former First Lady Melania Trump made a rare appearance when she introduced her husband and Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump at a campaign rally at Madison Square Garden. A video surfaced, showing the couple hugging after Melania introduced her husband as the “next Commander in Chief”.

She was not listed as one of the speakers, but spoke for five minutes before introducing Donald Trump. The crowd cheered when SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who is also campaigning for the former President, introduced her.

While asking for a re-election for her husband, Melania Trump said that US citizens were dealing with a decline in quality of life.

“Sadly, today, a declining quality of life, coupled with economic instability, makes it difficult for businesses and American ingenuity to blossom among determined citizens who race across city streets, and between offices, striving for success,” she said.

“Let us charge together with a shared vision that builds on American greatness. Let’s seize this moment and create a country for tomorrow – the future that we deserve,” Melania Trump added.

This was Melania Trump’s first rally during the current election cycle. With just a few days remaining for the November 5 US elections, Melania made a surprise appearance and spoke to the crowd gathered at Madison Square Garden.

While addressing the crowd, Donald Trump said he would stop an “invasion of criminals coming into our country” if he wins the November 5 elections. The former President also called Vice-President and Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris a “low IQ individual” in yet another jibe at her.

In his remarks, Trump framed Vice President Kamala Harris as a “trainwreck” and said electing her would “gamble with the lives of millions.”

The list of introductory speakers at Trump’s rally included former pro wrestler Hulk Hogan and his sons Eric and Don Jr.

“Today this is Donald Trump’s house,” Hulk Hogan said and downplayed comments accusing Donald Trump of being a fascist.

Polls show the rival candidates are neck and neck in the battleground states that will decide the next president with just over a week until election day. More than 38 million votes have already been cast, Reuters reported.
