Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Sunday turned into a fry cook at McDonald’s in Pennsylvania and took a dig at his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, saying he “worked 15 minutes more than Kamala” at the fast food chain.

The former US President stopped by a McDonald’s in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, in a bid to challenge Kamala Harris’s “middle-class background” claim. Harris has talked about her time working at McDonald’s in her campaign advertisements and speeches.

However, Trump has repeatedly claimed that Harris never worked at McDonald’s, as reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Trump suited up and worked behind the station to make fries besides interacting with the McDonald’s staff. He also served food to people at the restaurant’s drive-through.

“Look at the crowd over here. They are so happy because they have hope. They need hope,” he said. “I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala.”

Last month, during a campaign event in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Trump said, “I want to work as a fry cook to see how it is,” referencing Harris’ past job.

Both candidates are making frequent stops in Pennsylvania in the final weeks leading up to Election Day on November 5, recognising the state’s importance for securing a victory. Trump and Harris are heavily focusing on Pennsylvania, with both campaigns reportedly pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into the state.

With just over two weeks until Election Day on November 5, 2024, Harris and Trump are locked in a tight race. Both candidates are intensifying their efforts as they campaign vigorously across key states.
