A crown gifted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Jeshoreshwari Kali Temple in Satkhira in Bangladesh, has been stolen. The silver, gold-plated crown, presented during Modi’s visit in 2021, was stolen on Thursday afternoon after the temple priest left following worship. CCTV footage captured a man stealing the crown.
Meanwhile, India has expressed its concern over the incident and urged the Bangladesh government to recover the stolen crown and bring the culprits to justice. Police said they are analysing the CCTV footage to identify the suspect.
