An Indian family of four were killed in a fire that broke out in their flat in Kuwait City late on Friday night, local authorities said. Among those killed were an Indian couple and their two children who had returned from Kerala the same day after a vacation.
According to The Arab Times newspaper, Mathews Mulackal, his wife Lini Abraham, and their two children, who were all from Neerattupuram in Kerala’s Alappuzha, died from suffocation caused by a fire.
The fire, reportedly caused by a short circuit in the air conditioner, broke out around 8 pm in their second-floor apartment located in the Abbasiya area.
