Elon Musk praises Vivek Ramaswamy’s thunderous RNC speech backing Trump

Entrepreneur-turned-politician Vivek Ramaswamy urged Americans to vote for former President Donald Trump to restore national pride and reignite the economy in a thunderous speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He promised opportunities for legal immigrants. Tesla boss Elon Musk had a two-word appreciation for Ramaswamy’s fiery speech.

The four-day Republican National Convention opened at Fiserv Forum in downtown Milwaukee, just two days after Trump narrowly survived an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.

Ramaswamy, a former presidential candidate who dropped off from the race in the early stages of the Republican primary, emphasised that Trump is the leader who can unite America not through empty words but through action.

On the second day of the RNC convention, Ramaswamy said during his speech, “If you want to seal the border, vote Trump. If you want to restore law and order, vote Trump. If you want to reignite our economy, vote for Trump. If you want to revive national pride, vote for Trump. If you want to make America great again, vote for Trump.”

Ramaswamy’s speech garnered multiple standing ovations from the thousands of delegates and party leaders gathered in Milwaukee.

“Success is unifying, excellence is unifying, that’s who we are as Americans, that’s who we have always been,” Ramaswamy highlighted the importance of unity during his speech at RNC.

Ramaswamy also emphasised the need for Americans to come together despite their differences.

“We are the country where we can disagree like hell and still get together at the dinner table at the end of it. That is the America I know. That is the America we miss.”

In his speech, Ramaswamy, the son of Indian immigrants, addressed various groups, including black Americans, legal immigrants, and Gen Z.

He assured black Americans that Republicans care about their communities and want safe neighbourhoods, clean streets, good jobs, and equal justice.

To legal immigrants, he promised the opportunity to secure a better life for their children in America.

For Gen Z, Ramaswamy said, “You’re going to be the generation that actually saves our country. You want to be a rebel? Try calling yourself a conservative. Say you want to get married, have kids, and teach them to pledge allegiance to your country.”

Ramaswamy criticised the media for promoting divisive ideologies and called for a return to traditional American values.

“Faith, patriotism, hard work, and family have disappeared and been replaced by race, gender, sexuality and climate. But we’re not going to win this election by just criticising the other side. We’re going to win this by standing for our own vision,” Ramaswamy said.

Tesla boss Elon Musk praised Ramaswamy’s fiery speech on X, a social media platform owned by him.

Posting the video of Ramaswamy’s speech, Tesla boss Musk wrote, “Well said”.
