Despite a silent day with the bat, Virat Kohli did very well for the Indian team in the field, making a mark with an incredible boundary-rope save and a catch to playing his part in the Indian team’s triumph over Australia in the 3rd T20I on Wednesday. The buzz around the match, courtesy of the two Super Overs, was extreme, with the hearts of the players, the audience in the stadium, and fans beating at rapid speeds. As India wrapped up the series with a thrilling win, even the veteran Virat Kohli turned into a child after the match.

In a video that is spreading like wildfire on social media, Virat could be seen sliding into Team India’s photoshoot, leaving the world of the internet amazed.

Kohli only made a comeback to the Indian team in T20Is with the second match of the series. He gave a useful contribution with the bat in the match, scoring 29 runs off 16 balls.

Rinku Singh and Rohit Sharma were the top stars with the bat for India while Washington Sundar was the pick of the bowlers.

In his fledgling international career, Rinku has made an impact and smashed an unbeaten 69 off 39 balls in the elite company of Rohit Sharma to bail India out of trouble.

“The last couple of series that he played, he showed what he can do with the bat. Very calm and knows his strength pretty well. He is coming off age and doing what is expected of him and he has done really well for India.

“It augurs well for the team moving forward, wanted someone like that at the backend and we know what he has done in the IPL and he has carried that to the Indian colours as well,” said Rohit, who himself scored a memorable 121 not out off 69 balls.

It took two superovers to force a result in the third T20I as India wrapped up the series 3-0.

Talking about the dramatic finish, Rohit said: “I don’t remember when was the last time this happened. I think I batted 3 times in one of the IPL games.
