Kartik Aaryan is all set for the release of his upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The Anees Bazmee directorial will hit the theatres on November 1 and will face off against Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again at the box office. In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Kartik shared his thoughts on the clash and said that he is wishing the best for both films. The actor said, “I am confident about our film. I hope they (Singham franchise) maintain their success streak while our film also works at the box office. I am just hoping that both the films work. I think that Diwali is an occasion when two good films can work together. Audiences get two options in two different genres, that is the best part. As an audience I think people will go to watch both the movies. I am confident about our film that whoever goes to watch it will enjoy it and will be entertained, that is my guarantee. I don’t know about the numbers but I am up against this big film, I hope that people give us a chance.”
When asked if he checks up on box office numbers on the day of the release, Kartik Aaryan smiled and confessed that he does. He said, “I believe in numbers because it’s a business model after all. It’s important for everyone that if you are making a film it reaches as many people as it can and then it translates into numbers. It’s important that the makers and producers who have invested so much in a film, they get it back. There are a lot of people associated in the making of the film, who are earning through it so yeah it’s important. I am also associated with it so yeah I do check the numbers.”
Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 also features Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri and Rajpal Yadav in key roles. The film marks the third installment in the popular franchise. The series launched in 2007 with Priyadarshan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa. It was headlined by Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. The franchise was revived by Anees Bazmee in 2022 with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, in which the original actors were replaced by Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.
The upcoming film marks Vidya’s return to the franchise. She will reprise her iconic role of Manjulika. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner.
Singham Again‘s ensemble cast includes Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Tiger Shroff. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty.
