New Delhi: About 4,000 pilgrims were shifted to safety from near the holy cave shrine of Amarnath after a cloudburst triggered flash floods yesterday. The incident came just two weeks after 15 people were killed in a cloudburst in the region.
Rescue teams have been deployed. No casualties have been reported yet.
Heavy rainfall occurred in the mountains around the holy cave shrine yesterday afternoon due to which the yatra had been temporarily suspended.
